Coach Oropeza enters his thirteenth year of coaching and his first year here at Paschal High School. Before arriving to Paschal, he was at Woodrow Wilson High School for four years where he served as the running backs coach. ‘Coach O’ helped lead the football program to consecutive playoff appearances and had a huge impact on one of the top rushing offenses in DFW this past season.
Prior to arriving to the metroplex, he served as the head football coach at Pojoaque Valley High School and McCurdy Charter School in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Coach Oropeza earned his degree from The University of Texas at El Paso and attended Montwood High School in El Paso, Texas.
Coach Oropeza is married to his lovely wife Jaki, father to Ailyn (19), Jaden (15) and grandfather to Brielle (2) and Xavien (10 months). On his free time he enjoys traveling, going to the movies and spending every possible moment with his family. God and Family is the most important part of Coach Oropeza’s life.
